washing your hands. You brush off any loose dirt. Apply soap. Rub your hands
together. Then rinse them off. You can then apply a moisturizer to protect and
soften your freshly cleaned hands.
Each step is important! You can't really cut any corners if you want to get your hands nice and clean! The same goes for carpet cleaning. Go to Slide Show of How I Clean a Carpet Click to next page to learn 6 Carpet Cleaning Rip-Offs... How Happy Cleans a Carpet

Dupont Teflon(R) Advanced carpet
and upholstery protector is spayed on and groomed into the carpet fibres.
It is the most trusted product on the market. It is non-toxic, CFC and solvent-free, leaves no odour or residue. It is safe for your family and pets. Dupont Teflon(R) Advanced provides 4 benefits:
Extra drying passes are used to remove as much water as
possible. This takes a little extra time and effort but maximizes the moisture
removed and minimizes the drying time.
The majority of spots will be removed by the pretreatment.
Those spots remaining are treated again with stronger solutions and
specialized spot removers.
The carpet is washed with a hot, gentle rinsing and
conditioning solution (Plain, clear hot water is not as effective).
Then that rinse, containing all the soil and contaminants, is vacuumed away or extracted. This cleans and sanitizes your carpet , leaving it fresh and clean with no residue that will attract more soil. It will not require vacuuming after drying. It also prepares the fibres to accept Dupont Advanced Teflon carpet protector.
Would you wash your hands without rubbing them together? This
agitates the cleaning solution into and around the fibres, further loosening
and emulsifying the soil. This prepares it for rinsing and also helps to
restore the pile.
This is the soap or cleaning solution. It breaks the bonded
soiloff the fibres and suspends it until it is rinsed away.
This step is essential to proper cleaning and should not be charged as an add-on.
Thoroughly pre-vacuum the carpet to remove hair and abrasive
soil, as it is more difficult to remove when wet. It also removes deodorizing
powders etc, that may react with the cleaning solutions. This also prevents
wicking. If this soil isn't removed dry, chances are it won't be removed when
wet.
Inspect the carpet for wear, spots, and special needs. Point
out areas of concern to the client. Ask the client what their specific concerns
are.

Most furniture can be easily and safely moved now with
Super Glides so the carpet can be cleaned from wall to wall.
The furniture that was moved for cleaning is put back in place with protective tabs or styrofoam blocks under it to prevent rust or wood stains on the carpet. The Styrofoam blocks keep furniture off the floor to allow air to get underneath for drying. PIC
