UPHOLSTERY CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS CLIENT GUIDE Thank you for allowing us to clean your upholstery or fabric. We have used the finest equipment and materials available to insure the best work possible. You can help by noting the following: Before Cleaning 1. Make sure all small breakable items are removed from tables, dressers surrounding the upholstery to be cleaned. 2. Clear your driveway so that our cleaning truck may pull up as close to the house as possible. During Cleaning 1. SPOTS AND STAINS: Not all stains can be removed completely even with the aid of professional spotting agents. Due to dye characteristics, pH effects1 oxidation and other reactions, some spots may not be completely removed. 2. STAINS, WORN OR FADED AREAS: These areas, which were hidden, may appear lighter or more apparent after cleaning has removed the soil. Loose threads may be snipped off in worn areas to help improve their appearance. 3. SAFETY: For health and safety reasons always keep small children and pets off of freshly cleaned upholstery or fabrics. If fabrics were dry-cleaned, keep maximum ventilation and do not occupy for at least 24 hours. After Cleaning 1. Cushions are usually stacked" teepee" style to dry. These may be rotated bottom to top every 2 to 3 hours to aid their drying. 2. Allow enough time for thorough drying before replacing cushions or sitting on your furniture. 3. Drying time: 2 to 24 hours depending on the fiber, degree of soiling, and weather. If the fabric was treated with a protector, allow 24 hours for curing. 4. Velvets need special care. When we have finished cleaning, the “pile” of velvet is brushed into its “down” position. It must dry in this position to retain its appearance. Do not touch it while wet! After drying it may have a stiff feel. This is removed by first brushing it up and then back into its down position. Vacuuming is essential for velvet maintenance. 5. Ventilation: Increased air circulation will aid your fabrics in drying. 6. Stains, worn or faded areas, which were hidden, may appear lighter or more apparent after cleaning has removed the soil. Loose threads may be snipped off in worn areas to help their appearance.
