How Much Should I Expect To Pay?
While typically you would think a higher price means better workmanship and a lower price means “cheap”, it isn’t always the case. Some companies will quote you a low price over the phone, but when they arrive and start cleaning, there are extras and up-sells, which end up costing you as much as the higher priced company.
The challenge is, even though you end up paying a higher price with that “low quote” company, you most likely will only receive that “low quote cleaning value”. They don’t know how to provide that Deluxe Value nor do they have the extra time as they probably have 5 or more jobs booked that day.
When I first began cleaning in 1992, back in the last century, I was charging $20/room ($100/house) and $80/sofa.
Now, what do you know of that costs the same THAT many years later!!??
You can still find companies today that charge those same prices. How much value do you really think they are going to provide with those antiquated prices??
IF you are expecting to get better than average workmanship, a “basic cleaning” will cost around $50/room, $250-300/house.
IF you’re looking for the BEST, expect to pay $300+. Its going to me more but it will be worth it. For furniture, a 6ft sofa could be $120 to $180.
I charge by the cleanable square foot so it all depends on how much area I’m cleaning and at what level.
I’VE OFTEN HEARD THE PHRASE:
Price is what you pay.
Value is what you get.
You get what you pay for!
A COMPANY CAN OFFER YOU THREE
THINGS:
- Best Service
- Best Quality
- Best Price
But they can only offer TWO at the same time and stay in business!
