Professional Carpet Services in Sooke, BC
Will You Match Those Coupons I Get In Valpack?
You will see these Valpack coupons a couple times per year. Often $150 for a whole house etc, or hear on the radio of 40-50% for the next week only. These companies typically use this low price tactic to get in the door.
I started working at The Bay in Home Cleaning and these were the marketing tactics I was taught. I had to get very good at upselling other services or add-ons like protector or deodourizer. Sometimes the original price would double !! I only made a percentage of the price so if you didn’t agree to the upsell, I would have to clean very quickly to get on to the next job. Having booked 5+ jobs per day typically, I never had the time to clean thoroughly anyway.
I always hated being rushed because it just felt like I was cheating people. They were paying good money for what they expected was to clean their carpet or upholstery.
So now that I’m the boss I don’t book 5 jobs in a day. I book typically 1 or 2. I give myself time to work more meticulously. I buy better chemistry, better tools. I’m able to put in the steps that I know will actually clean your carpet, not just make it look clean for the next week. I attend conferences and tradeshows and take training to keep me up to date on tools and methods. And I’d like to take one of those things I’ve heard of, I think they call them a “vacation”.
So, no, I am not able to match the prices of these low priced cleaners.
I price my work fairly,
and I offer more budget fitting
levels of cleaning.
And often I’ll throw in a little extra cleaning, ie a bedroom entrance or the mats, etc. My boss is quite reasonable but he still needs to make a profit.
